What a rare find: An absolutely stunning Kashmir sapphire that showcases all the most sought-after qualities of the legendary gemstone. This Kashmir sapphire has an evenly spread, natural cornflower-blue color and velvety luster, representing the finest material from the Kashmir region, known for the best sapphires in the world. It also has the characteristic soft glow of Kashmir sapphires, expertly displayed in the sugarloaf cabochon cut, which forms a four-sided pyramidal shape with a smooth polished surface. Add to that an incredible 10.49-carat size, and you have a special stone worthy of the finest collection or exceptional setting.

This sapphire is certified as a Kashmir sapphire with no heat treatment by the American Gemological Laboratories. AGL Report: No. 1105652.

Discovered in the Himalaya Mountains of northwest India in 1881, the legendary Kashmir sapphires, with their extraordinary vivid blue color—often called “cornflower blue”—and velvety luster, are the most beautiful and treasured of all blue sapphires. Kashmir sapphires have a highly saturated and uniform color, along with a characteristic “silkiness” or glow, that make them a phenomenon of nature. With the original mines long depleted, Kashmir sapphires are a rare find and among the most prized of all gemstones today. To learn more about Kashmir sapphires, click here.
